Basketball Team 5-0

The Downs boy's basketball team is undefeated. They are currently 5-0 as they have beat all the schools and they plan on keeping it that way. Their coach Mr. James is a really good coach and gets us good stuff for our success so far. The captains Conrad and Phillip are doing a good job on leading the team. We have three more games left in the season then playoffs. The Downs Diamondbacks are eyeing the championship and the way they're playing, they will win it.

Band Announcement

A lot of people at Downs are joining band. Not all people that try will make it. There is a wide range of instruments. The concert is Feb. 3, 2010 in the cafeteria. Our band will play! Don't miss it.

The lunch is pretty nasty. It tastes like old food that stays in there for a lot of years. People don’t like this food over here. I hope they could get better food over here.

ACYFL Panthers

We are on the ACYFL Panthers. We have games on Saturday. We play all over the world and we are 10-1. We played in Las Vegas, California and a lot of other places. We play for four months and we are the best of the best. I think we can beat anybody.

Track

Right now at Downs, the PE coaches are starting to look for people to be in track. They've started the 100 meter dash and the long jump. It's not tiring but it's not awesome either. Mostly guys are the ones that jump higher and faster. However, watching people do the long jump is much more fun. Some people fall on their rear. It's hilarious. Some people get sand in their shoes and in their bottoms. Next week we are going to do the 400 meter dash and ball throw.
